// TELECOMMUNICATIONS & AI ENGINEER
Hello, I'm Kevin Kipkorir.
I build intelligent systems at the intersection of 5G networks and AI.
Master of Professional Engineering candidate at UTS, specializing in telecommunications and electronics. Currently developing AI-powered safety systems using Nokia's 5G infrastructure and computer vision.

// ABOUT ME
Engineering the Future of Connected Systems
I'm completing my Master of Professional Engineering in Telecommunications & Electronics at UTS, graduating February 2026. My passion lies in bridging the gap between telecommunications infrastructure and intelligent systems.
Currently, I'm undertaking a Nokia 5G internship at UTS TechLab through Optik Consultancy, where I'm developing AI-powered mobile safety systems using YOLOv11 computer vision, Nokia's RXRM platform, and autonomous Temi robots.
My thesis research explores innovative applications of mobile network signals for environmental sensing; specifically water level monitoring using 4G LTE signals, achieving remarkable 4-6cm accuracy for flood monitoring applications.

// MY PROJECTS
Research & Development Work
Nokia 5G PPE Safety Detection System
AI-powered mobile safety monitoring using YOLOv11 computer vision on Nokia's 360° cameras mounted on autonomous Temi robots. Achieved 94% mAP50 accuracy with sub-250ms latency via Nokia's RXRM platform and 5G URLLC connectivity.
LTE-Based Water Level Sensing
Thesis research leveraging 4G LTE signal characteristics (RSRP, RSRQ, SINR) for environmental sensing in NSW Mid North Coast. Achieved 4-6cm water level accuracy using signal propagation analysis for flood monitoring.
3-Beam Pattern-Reconfigurable Antenna
Designed and simulated a beam-steering antenna at 4.98 GHz using ANSYS HFSS with electronically switchable parasitic directors. Achieved ±30° beam steering with 6.6 dBi peak gain and Sāā ⤠-15dB impedance matching.
2x2 MIMO-OFDMA Simulator
Built a complete MATLAB simulator for multi-user MIMO-OFDM systems over frequency-selective Rayleigh fading channels. Implemented QPSK modulation, subband allocation, and zero-forcing equalization with BER analysis.
5G Homelab & ML Energy Optimization
Complete 5G network simulation using Open5GS core, srsRAN gNB/UE with ZeroMQ virtual radios. Implementing machine learning pipelines for network energy optimization without licensed spectrum.
